Favorite Celebrity Cosmetic Treatments

vanessa williams botox
I am writing this blog in honor of the awards season when you see nothing but fresh faced celebrities that only seem to look younger every year.  While celebrities want you think that they are naturally blessed with the best genetics in the world, most of them have had a little help.  So what cosmetic treatments are these celebrities utilizing that make them look so flawless.
Here are top non-surgical favorite celebrity cosmetic treatments:
#1 Botox Cosmetic: So sure there are a few celebs who claim they have never used Botox (as their forehead doesn't move) but there are many who have now embraced it and recognize that their smooth forehead is due to Botox such celebs include Jenny McCarthy, Vanessa Williams, and Kelly Rippa just to name a few.  Celebs love Botox as do most people because it is a quick, painless, has no downtime (so noone will know) and it works!  In 20 minutes they can have a treatment that kicks in within 1-2 weeks & smoothes out their wrinkles
#2 Dermal Fillers: While people would find out in hollywood if a celeb had a surgical facelift, however, a liquid facelift can be done in 45 minutes and a celeb can leave the office looking fresh as a daisy.  Dermal fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Ultra Plus, and Radiesse can be injected into the mid face to give back lost facial volume to areas such as cheeks will lift up sagging jowles and minimize deep smile lines.  Celebs who admit to using dermal fillers are Kris Jenner and Courtney Cox.
#3 Laser Skin Resurfacing: If you ever see celebs with smooth skin free of pores, wrinkles or scars that are older than they look or mention severe acne scarring as an adolescent they have probably had laser skin resurfacing.  Lasers like fractional non-ablative or ablative skin resurfacing utilize heat to cause superficial trauma to the dermis stimulating collagen & elastyn.  Non-ablative fractional resurfacing has no downtime with the exception of redness & swelling for less than 24 hours.  Mariah Carey & Brad Pitt are rumored to have had laser skin resurfacing treatments.
All of these treatments we have offered at our Orlando medical spa Winter Park Laser for 10 years and have treated some local celebrities whom shall remain nameless.   For more information on favorite celebrity cosmetic treatments go to www.winterparklaser.com

How to Say Good Bye to Crow's Feet

The skin around the eyes tends to wrinkle first because it is thinner than the rest of the skin on the face by 30%. It also wrinkles more easily because of sun damage, squinting & dehydration. So it is no surprise that "crows feet" or wrinkles around the eye is a common concern & complaint among women and men around the world and in our Orlando medical Spa-Winter Park Laser & Anti-Aging Center. Fortunately there are several ways to say good bye to crow's feet for good. The first important step is a hydrating eye cream-preferably one that is medical grade as it will actually penetrate to the dermis. We like Skinmedica TNS Eye Repair-human Growth factors and peptides work in synergy to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A great eye cream will keep the area hydrated and help with the fine lines. One of the most instantly gratifying ways to treat crow's feet is with Botox Cosmetic. This is especially good if you squint a lot or have had a lot of sun damage. Botox Cosmetic relaxes the wrinkles around the eyes allowing the wrinkles to cease and prevents the wrinkles from getting worst as the muscles can't be made stronger. If one is looking for a more permanent solution-Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing will completely resurface the area & minimize the wrinkles. We prefer combo ablative laser resurfacing. Fractional ablative wrinkle treatment uses beams of laser light that penetrates skin to just the right depth and with just the right level of heat to evoke a dramatic healing response that promotes collagen production, diminishing the appearance of fine lines around the eyes http://www.winterparklaser.com/services/fractional-laser-resurfacing/. Scar Revision Using Lasers for Permanent Removal

This treatment was invented & patented in the USA by Palomar Medical and has been approved by the American Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Fractional Non-ablative lasers can be used to reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks and melasma (dark skin patches). Many patients report visible improvement of their scars after only 1-2 treatments, although it can take 4-6 treatments depending on the age of the scar and the age of the person. This treatment works best on flat scars (not keloids) and is safe for all skin types. Laser scar removal uses fractional laser light to create micro-columns of coagulated tissue that extend deep into the dermis without ablating the epidermis. This triggers a wound-healing process that replaces the disorganized, compacted scar tissue with healthy new tissue, greatly diminishing the appearance of the scar tissue. Advanced Contact Cooling protects the epidermis, promoting safer, more comfortable treatments. This treatment is a great option as it offers little discomfort which can be minimized with topical numbing creams and has little down-time; simply a mild sun burn like effect of redness and swelling. Treatments are 3-4 weeks apart. If you would like to find out if you are a viable candidate for this treatment you should seek a consultation-they are complimentary at our medical spa-Winter Park Laser & Anti-Aging Center in Orlando FL. The New Non-Surgical Facelift-Laser Skin Resurfacing

Over the past decades while cosmetic procedures have only increased, the number of non-invasive procedures is far outweighing the the surgical procedures. As more people are working, they do not have the time for "down time", risks of infections or the other risks involved with actual surgery. This is why many people are not turning to lasers to tighten, lift&rejuvenate skin on the face.

The closest non-surgical treatment to an actual face-lift is Ablative laser skin resurfacing. At it's birth a decade ago the pain was intense and the down-time was 3-4 weeks with risk of infection and local anesthesia. However, thanks to the modern technology and intelligence of laser companies like Palomar Medical laser resurfacing is not re-born with less pain, faster treatments and minimal downtime & bleeding with maximum results for fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage and loose skin.

Palomar Medical has patented the only bloodless laser resurfacing treatment available-it combines the ablative 2940 hand piece with the non-ablative 1540 hand piece on the Artisan platform for an amazing 1 treatment non-surgical facelift! This treatment is perfect for those with fine lines, wrinkles, large pores or skin that is in need more tightening but don’t want the downtime of surgery or older dot lasers that took 2-5 weeks of downtime. The Palomar fractional laser resurfacing only requires 4-7 days of healing and the holes close in 6 hours (most lasers the holes close in 96 hours) which offers less risk of infection. Fractional ablative wrinkle treatment from Palomar uses pulses of laser light that deliver excellent long-term results in just one simple treatment. The laser light penetrates skin to just the right depth and with just the right level of heat to evoke a dramatic healing response that promotes collagen production, diminishing the appearance of fine lines around the face, especially the eyes and mouth which are most prevalent in clients. It’s a wrinkle treatment that’s easy for the patient.
Benefits of ablative & non ablative laser resurfacing for Clients is One treatment with as little as four days of recovery time, excellent improvement in appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, & minimal treatment discomfort compared to full surface CO2 resurfacing treatments.
