Benefits of Laser Hair Removal to Shaving

This is a great article. Laser Hair Removal can save you a lot of time and money in the long term.

Laser hair removal and shaving are two of the most popular hair removal methods of our time. And while shaving has been a common form of hair removal for a long time, it has seen strong competition from the laser. While shaving may be the cheapest and easiest form of hair removal, it is also the most temporary, which hairs growing back after just a day or two. Laser hair removal treatments on the other side are aimed to permanently reduce hair, often with strong reduction after just a few sessions.

During shaving, hairs are not removed from the root, which makes it very easy for them to grow back to the length they are programmed to be. Shaving also does not have any long term effect on the frequency of hair growth, meaning that even if someone shaves everyday, it will not make a difference to the amount of hair that is growing. And with shaving it is hard to achieve completely smooth skin and many people experience constant stubble. Anyone who shaves on a frequent basis knows it is far from a pleasant experience. Cuts, nicks, rashes, bleeding and skin irritation are common side effects of shaving.

During laser hair removal, the heat from the laser destroys the hair, but hairs are not plucked from the root, and fall out on their own in about 10 days. After the dead hairs have shed the skin will stay smooth for a couple of weeks until it is time be treated again. Hair grows in different stages which explain why not all hair can be treated in one session. While it is possible to do laser hair removal at home, with small devices that are now available, most people still go to a professional salon to get it done. Several treatments spaced apart by several weeks are needed. Successful laser hair removal treatments will lead to permanent reduction in hair, and any side effects other than slight redness in the treated area is very rare.

Both shaving and laser hair removal have their pros and cons. While shaving might be easy, cheap and convenient to do at home at anytime, it can never lead to any reduction in hair. Many people are fed up with the frequent annoyance of having to shave and turn to laser hair removal for a solution. And while laser hair removal requires a trip to a clinic, and costs more, there is a big chance of permanent reduction in hair, meaning never having to use any form of hair removal again.

Another advantage to laser hair removal is that it can reach areas that would otherwise be hard to shave, such as the backside of the body. For someone who would like to worry less about constantly having to shave, laser hair removal could be a great solution. But not everyone is a good candidate for laser hair removal, so it is important to consider a consultation to find out.
