Why Dermal Fillers are the new Facelift

unamed
Dermal Fillers have been around for nearly 2 decades and each company continues to come out with better dermal fillers that last longer and do more.  It is because of this that dermal fillers have become an alternative to surgical procedures such as face-lifts.  The first cosmetic dermal filler on the market was Restylane, since then  Perlane, Belotero, Radiesse, Juvederm UltraXC, Juvederm Ultra PlusXC and Juvederm Voluma have all come onto the market. In our Orlando medical spa Winter Park Laser dermal fillers have become the hottest aesthetic trend in the US over the past five years.
So what is a dermal filler? Dermal filler helps to diminish facial lines & replace volume in the face because as we age the face naturally breaks down fat.  Then the facial skin is stretched out and sags. Dermal fillers can be very helpful in those with early signs of aging.
So why are dermal fillers the new facelift? Cosmetic dermal fillers require no downtime and give amazing results by filling in volume lost in the cheeks, lips, and smile lines as well as erasing wrinkles, or filling in deep scars.  The #1 cosmetic dermal filler in the United States is Juvederm Ultra PlusXC by Allergan.  The beauty of dermal fillers over surgery is that they cost a fraction of the cost, only take 45 minutes to perform, and give an amazing rejuvenation to the face making it look years younger.  The only downside is that they are temporary however there are new longer lasting fillers such as Juvederm VolumaXC.  JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is the first and only FDA-approved injectable gel to instantly add volume to your cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over the age of 21. It can provide you contour and a subtle lift for up to two years with optimal treatment.

Favorite Celebrity Cosmetic Treatments

vanessa williams botox
I am writing this blog in honor of the awards season when you see nothing but fresh faced celebrities that only seem to look younger every year.  While celebrities want you think that they are naturally blessed with the best genetics in the world, most of them have had a little help.  So what cosmetic treatments are these celebrities utilizing that make them look so flawless.
Here are top non-surgical favorite celebrity cosmetic treatments:
#1 Botox Cosmetic: So sure there are a few celebs who claim they have never used Botox (as their forehead doesn't move) but there are many who have now embraced it and recognize that their smooth forehead is due to Botox such celebs include Jenny McCarthy, Vanessa Williams, and Kelly Rippa just to name a few.  Celebs love Botox as do most people because it is a quick, painless, has no downtime (so noone will know) and it works!  In 20 minutes they can have a treatment that kicks in within 1-2 weeks & smoothes out their wrinkles
#2 Dermal Fillers: While people would find out in hollywood if a celeb had a surgical facelift, however, a liquid facelift can be done in 45 minutes and a celeb can leave the office looking fresh as a daisy.  Dermal fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Ultra Plus, and Radiesse can be injected into the mid face to give back lost facial volume to areas such as cheeks will lift up sagging jowles and minimize deep smile lines.  Celebs who admit to using dermal fillers are Kris Jenner and Courtney Cox.
#3 Laser Skin Resurfacing: If you ever see celebs with smooth skin free of pores, wrinkles or scars that are older than they look or mention severe acne scarring as an adolescent they have probably had laser skin resurfacing.  Lasers like fractional non-ablative or ablative skin resurfacing utilize heat to cause superficial trauma to the dermis stimulating collagen & elastyn.  Non-ablative fractional resurfacing has no downtime with the exception of redness & swelling for less than 24 hours.  Mariah Carey & Brad Pitt are rumored to have had laser skin resurfacing treatments.
All of these treatments we have offered at our Orlando medical spa Winter Park Laser for 10 years and have treated some local celebrities whom shall remain nameless.   For more information on favorite celebrity cosmetic treatments go to www.winterparklaser.com

Give the gift of Beauty with Aesthetic Treatments

So every year around the holidays there are the same go to gifts-candy, perfume, jewelry etc for women and ties, scarves, wallets for men. However, after running a medical spa-Winter Park Laser in Orlando for 10 years every year our clients beg loved ones for our treatments as gifts. This year it is time to think outside of the box and give people what they really want and need.  While aesthetic treatments such as Botox, fillers, laser hair removal and more used to be a very private entity but now it is much more well known now and people are more comfortable to talk about these treatments and ask for them.  So this year instead of traditional gifts give the gift of beauty with Aesthetic Treatments.
Here are the top aesthetic treatments that our clients as for as a gift.
#1 Laser Hair Removal: Laser hair removal is the top gift asked for in our medical spa.  It is a great gift for women, men and teens.  The gift of not shaving is an amazing gift and will give people back extra time.  It is an easy painless procedure and can be extremely affordable to purchase especially for small areas.  For men laser hair removal for the neck, beard or back can give them the time and confidence they deserve especially for those with ingrown hairs.  Laser hair removal is a permanent solution for those with ingrown hairs.  Teen girls especially love the underarms as an area for laser hair removal.
#2 Botox® Cosmetic: If you know your loved one gets Botox® on a regular basis or it is something that they have been wanting to try this is an excellent gift that will be greatly appreciated. Botox® can be extremely affordable to gift-$250 would typically get one area treated and corrected.
#3 A Clinical Facial: If you have a co-worker, friend or loved one who doesn't get to pamper themselves a clinical facial is the perfect gift to give.  It is better than a traditional day spa facial because it will be performed by a medical aesthetician utilizing medical grade skin-care to give longer lasting results.

Tips for getting the Best Botox Injections

While Botox® has become a household name and is the #1 cosmetic treatment performed in the world (both surgical and non-surgical) there are still many questions and mystery surrounding it. When deciding to get Botox injections it is important to know what to look for in a treatment provider as well as how to know you are really getting Botox® Cosmetic from Allergan and not an imitation Botulin Toxin. After performing Botox® consultations for 5 years at our Orlando Medical Spa Winter Park Laser I have come up with the best tips. Here are Tips for Getting the Best Botox® Injections #1 Ask for a referral from friends. Botox® is no longer a "taboo subject" amongst friends, it's almost as common as brushing your teeth these days and even if you think you don't no anyone who uses it, I guarantee if you bring it up at least more than a few of your friends will admit to using it and can give you a great referral. By using a referral from a friend you can see the types of results you want-the friend who looks so great but natural that you didn't even realize she used Botox®! You will therefore feel comfortable with the Treatment provider before you even begin treatment and you will have an idea of what to expect. #2 Verify that you actually getting Botox® Cosmetic from Allergan: Botox® is a brand of Botulin Toxin, and is the #1 type used however there are unfortunately imported Botulin Toxins from Canada or other brands such as Dysport or Xeomin. It is important when you schedule your appointment that you ask directly if they are using Botox® Cosmetic. You then want to ask to see the bottle and look for the Botox® Allergan hollogram on the bottle. It should also be a red flag that it may not be Botox® if it is 50% less than most place or is a groupon. #3 Bring a Picture of your "younger self" so you can express exactly the way you want to look and what you loved at that time and give to the consultant or treatment provider prior to your Botox® injection. This way the provider knows exactly what you want and there will be no miscommunication. You want to be direct and clear about what you want so that you can have reasonable expectations and know that Botox® is really what you need to correct your concerns. #4 Look at Reviews of your Botox® provider and check that they are listed on the Allergan website. This will of course give you an idea of the best and allow you to feel comfortable before you go. You will also know that they order directly from Allergan and feel more comfortable with that as well. The differences between Botox and Juvederm

After performing cosmetic consultations for 9 years at Orlando medical spa Winter Park Laser & Anti-Aging Center I have realized that people tend to think Botox and Juvederm products are the same and do the same thing.  However, Botox and Juvederm are two totally different types of injectables and do different things for the face.  It is important to have an understanding of the different injectables so that you can select what is best for you and research the best medical spas and injectors in your area for Botox and Juvederm.
botox juvederm face
Here are the main differences between Botox and Juvederm.
Botox Cosmetic is a Botulin Toxin injectable. Botox is best used for treating wrinkles that are "expression related" or related to muscle use in the face.  Botox is best for treating the forehead, glabellar (inbetween the eyebrows), and around the eyes "crows feet" area.  Botox is not a volumizer so it will not add volume, replace volume or fill in every line, that would be a dermal filler.  Botox Cosmetic does not provide instant gratification either.  It can take up to 2 weeks for Botox to set and kick in completely.  Botox is a simple treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows through a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time. Botox lasts 3-5 months on average and will last longer each time it is injected.  Botox is not considered a dermal filler.
Juvederm products including Juvederm Ultra XC, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, and Juvederm Voluma XC are injectables that are considered  dermal fillers.  Dermal fillers add volume and replace volume in the mid-face in areas such as the cheeks, smile lines (naso-labial folds), and lips.  As women and men age we naturally break down fat, hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastyn in the mid-face. This lack of volume can not be replaced with Botox Cosmetic, only a dermal filler such as Juvederm can replace this volume.  By replacing volume in the face it creates a "liquid facelift"  Juvederm is a smooth consistency  gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration.

Why Botox is "In" Amongst the Younger Crows

When Botox arrived on the market 10 years ago, it was 40-50 years old with wrinkles that clamored to their local medical spa to try out the new anti-aging elixir in markets mostly like L.A. or New York. Fast forward 10 years later and Botox is as popular as a facial and available nationwide. Also, now knowing the preventative benefit of Botox the younger demographic is now a large sector of frequent Botox users. Women and men as young as 25 are now having Botox Cosmetic Injections. However, they are not just to remove wrinkles they are using the wonder drug to prevent future wrinkles. Botox is the only cosmetic treatment that can relax your muscles that create elaborate expressions such as squinting. By doing this one can no longer flex the facial muscles & make wrinkles appear or make them worse. This is actually a smart trick, those who start out younger with Botox will need less aggressive procedures in the future when they age and start to have real wrinkles. Often in the medical spa business I have so many clients who are 45 and have never done anything to their skin-they have a hard time understanding how many treatments and the amount of money it will take to correct their issues compared to those who have taken care of their skin they often just need a little Botox or a chemical peel to freshen things up. Eliminate Hyperhidrosis-Excessive Sweating with Botox

We all have had those times where we were embarrassed by the unattractive "pit stains" under our arms on our cool new white tee-shirt as we were sweating due to nerves, or heat from nervously a talking to a "crush", in an interview, or on a hot summer day. While most of us have had a day or two like this in a life-time for those who suffer from Hyperhidrosis this is an every day and often embarrassing ocurence. Hyperhidrosis is a disorder marked by excessive sweating. It usually begins at puberty and affects the palms, soles, and mainly armpits. Hyperhidrosis in general and axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the armpits) in particular are more common in the general population than was previously thought. A group of dermatologists in Virginia reported in 2004 that 2.8% of the United States population, or about 7.8 million persons, have hyperhidrosis.

Fortunately there is now a cure for Hyperhidrosis-BOTOX®
During the procedure at a medical spa or doctor's office, a small amount of BOTOX® (generally 40-50 units under each arm) is injected into the affected underarm area through a very fine needle (insulin needles). In a short appointment with your medical specialist, about 15 injections are made to the underarm area. The actual procedure takes about 10 to 15 minutes and lasts 7-12 months on average. You should notice a significant reduction in underarm sweating within 4 weeks of your first treatment. If you do not see a significant reduction in sweating, you should contact your healthcare provider and request a follow-up consultation.

This treatment can also be performed for those who may not have diagnosed hyperhidrosis but simply want to sweat less or those who live in severe humid warm clients such as Florida.

Manly Botox & other Cosmetic Treatments for Men

Manly Botox & other Cosmetic Treatments for Men

When Botox became popular 2 decades ago along with lasers it was mainly used by women, however men are now getting bitten by the Botox bug. Statistics show that about 250000 Botox procedures were performed on men alone in the United States last year, making it the leading cosmetic treatment for men; so much so that it has gained the nicknames "Brotox" and “Boytox.”

Men have the same aging concerns as women-wrinkles, sun damage, sagging skin so why shouldn't they be able to fix them. Well now that social norms have given the wink and nod for the green light on laser skin resurfacing, fillers and Botox men are stepping our of their man caves and into medical spas. Competition in the job markets also plays a part in the influx as men want to stay looking young and healthy for that career competitive edge.

Botox is a natural and purified protein that temporarily reduces contractions of the facial muscles that cause lines, by blocking nerve transmissions, leaving the skin unwrinkled. This creates a smooth and a more youthful appearance.

Botox Cosmetic is a simple and nonsurgical procedure that is injected into the facial muscles using tiny insulin needles. It is used for forehead lines, crow’s feet around the eyes, frown lines,&brow lift (when one eyebrow is lower than the other).

Contrary to what most people think, Botox does not freeze facial expressions, but it softens them. It only takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the treatment but results take up to 2 weeks to completely set. Side effects are not long-term, with some minor bruising that disappears in a week’s time. Botox Cosmetic should be affordable but don't go with the "cheapest" as you always want pure Botox from Allergan (look for the hologram on the bottle). You can also take advantage of Allergan's free point program (Brilliant Distinctions) that will save you $25-$50 each treatment.

Doctors say that men need higher doses than women, probably because they have greater muscle mass. It has also been observed that larger and stronger men need more units per treatment area than small-boned men.

The best part about Botox is that this is equality in a new sense where men are allowed to take care of themselves in the same ways that men have for years. For more information on Botox or other treatments go to www.winterparklaser.com

Good Botox Treatments Vs. Bad Botox Treatments

I love this story-as we only use Botox Cosmetic from Allergan and you can check our hologram on the bottle any time to make sure that is legitimately Botox Cosmetic. Unfortunately there have been some alarming instances of companies purchasing "off-label" botox that has caused terrible results, here is an article on this issue:
Ashley Roberts CW33 News

1:43 p.m. CST, December 26, 2011
Uptown Dallas—
New Year celebrations are upon us. 2012 marks a fresh start, a time for resolutions, and for many...a chance to get that new, more youthful appearance.

“We’re seeing an explosive growth of procedures to make people look more beautiful, and Botox is definitely one of them,” says cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Adelglass, M.D., F.A.C.S.

He's always ready to make a pretty face more beautiful.

“You can see the hologram on this bottle – this is an original bottle of Botox,” says Dr. Adelglass.

He says a hologram on the bottle is one sure-fire way to know that Botox is the real deal. But Dr. Adelgass does warn consumers to proceed with caution when it comes to getting such treatments.

“There are a lot of importers and people are trying to buy it inexpensively through foreign channels and then use it on their patients,” he explains.

Just this week he received a letter in the mail with different out-of-the-country Botox options that he could potentially buy.
“Well, I think this is illegal,” says Dr. Adelglass.

Illegal or not, he says this is an increasing trend. Which is perhaps why some North Texans say "Botox" is not on their "To Do" list.

“Just because I’ve heard like the horror stories and then they don’t have like their natural expressions,” says Erika Gomez.
Others say they are not opposed to it.

“I would never use it personally, but I don’t fault people for trying to improve their appearance by any means,” says Steven Schwartz.

Dr. Adelglass says if you are looking for that New Year, New You "pick me up", it's all about doing your research first.

“And believe it or not, there is an importance to having a doctor [do this procedure] because this is a medical procedure. Botox, Deport - it can only be sold to physicians,” he says.

Dr. Adelglass also suggests using caution when it comes to purchasing cosmetic procedures via discount websites. He says this could be a red flag to potential "Botox Gone Bad" horror stories.

Beware of "Bargain Botox Deals" online or from friends

The cosmetic industry has changed and grown greatly over the past decade and with Botox Cosmetic becoming the #1 non-surgical cosmetic treatment in the US for the past 5 years it is no surprise that many people are now looking to try the treatment. Unfortunately due to the economy many are turning to "bargain basement deals" from on-line sites or "at home" parties from friends. While Botox Cosmetic is a cosmetic procedure it is still a medical procedures and should be held to the same standards as any other medical procedure would. First of all, never purchase Botox on-line and always make sure that the Botox Cosmetic you are getting comes from Allergan (the only maker of Botox cosmetic) there is a hologram on the bottle to look for and you can ask to watch the medical practitioner mix it in front of you.

Second of all you wouldn't purchase brain surgery at 50% off so why would you do it for a treatment that is injecting something in to your body? Botox Cosmetic is an amazing treatment but should only be performed by a certified and licensed medical professional in a licensed medical spa, or medical office who are not only licensed but insured, when you have it done at someones home there is no medical malpractice insurance covering that. Do your research and look for reviews when selecting a location for Botox Cosmetic not just for the "cheapest deal."

Here is a similar article on the same problem in the UK: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2054318/Beware-Bargain-Botox-Online-deals-cosmetic-injections-misleading-unsafe.html Beware the 'Bargain Botox': Online deals for cosmetic injections 'misleading and unsafe'

Why More Men are Getting Botox

Over the past 8 years in our Medical Spa (Winter Park Laser & Anti-Aging Center) in Orlando we have seen the number of men that walk through our door for cosmetic treatments increase every year. It started with laser hair removal-a lot of hairy backs or ingrown hairs for beards but has steadily increased in facial treatments, acne laser treatments, stretchmarks and the most recent cosmetic increase for men has been Cosmetic Fillers such as Juvederm, Radiesse, Perlane and of course the injectable Botox Cosmetic. Often times it is a wife, or girl friend that drags the man in but after he tries the treatment once he continues to come back all on his own and to refer other men! As societal norms rule "looks do matter" and many men especially single men are trying to make it count, below was a news story from NBC in south Florida about the increase in men and Botox Cosmetic. It is no surprise as Botox Cosmetic is the #1 non-surgical cosmetic treatment in the world than men are finally jumping on the band-wagon, after all they have wrinkles and insecurities just like women. It just took a few brave men to pave the way! For more information on Botox at our medical spa go to www.winterparklaser.com You can watch this video on the man getting Botox at http://www.ksn.com/content/news/health/story/More-men-getting-Botox-injections/qls6UF_bEkaVg-wzmJC7iQ.cspx

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (NBC News) – Barry Goren recently jumped back in the dating game, but he knows he has to step it up if he's going to meet the right girl.

So he decided to go to Dr. Shino Bay Aguilera to get Botox.Does he think it makes him less manly? No!Barry is not alone.

National statistics show some 300,000 men received tiny injections of Botox or some cosmetic treatments last year. And because of that, lots of "dudes" are not only opting for what's affectionately called "boy-tox" these days, but even more males are asking for something called: Sculptra.

There are differences though as to how men and women approach getting such services.
Dr. Aguilera says guys tend to be more clandestine, more covert.
The American male grooming market is worth $3.5 billion a year and a larger portion is now going to cosmetic procedures. A number that doctors say is sure to continue to surge.

Treatments for Wrinkles

Great article: http://nathancharette.evonybuddy.com/2010/12/14/wrinkles-causes-symptoms-and-treatment/
Wrinkle is a ridge or crease of a surface. It usually refers to folds on fabric or clothes , or on the skin of an organism; the folds are generally random and do not exhibit any repeating pattern. Wrinkles are the thin, creased, and sagging skin that is especially noticeable on the face, neck, and hands. Wind, heat and chemicals and the natural effects of aging cause a certain amount of wrinkling in everyone, but it is much worse in people who spend a lot of time in the sun. Years of exposure to the sun cause “photoaging,” which includes freckles, yellowing, roughness, visible blood vessels, and dark spots, as well as wrinkling.

Typically, as a person ages, the sweat and oil glands of the skin become less numerous and smaller in size. This causes the skin to lose moisture and to dry out, and it soon begins to sag in places where the collagen, the elastic fibers that support the skin, has weakened the most. The skin around the eyelids, jaw, and neck is especially thin, and therefore more naturally prone to aging. In addition to sun exposure, smoking may contribute to the formation of wrinkles. Finally, it is believed that some wrinkling is predetermined genetically from one’s parents.

Causes of Wrinkles

Aging is also one of the main causes of skin aging. Years of sun exposure cause the supporting structures of the skin, primarily the collagen and elastin, to weaken and break down. In addition, as a person ages, the sweat and oil glands of the skin become less numerous and smaller in size. This causes the skin to lose moisture and to dry out. Dry skin with weak collagen and elastin will sag, shrivel, and wrinkle. The skin around the eyelids, jaw, and neck is especially thin, and therefore more naturally prone to aging.

Other environmental factors, including cigarette smoke and pollution, particularly ozone, may hasten ageing by producing oxygen-free radicals. These are particles produced by many of the body’s normal chemical processes in excessive amounts they can damage cell membranes and interact with genetic material, possibly contributing to the development of a number of skin disorders, including wrinkles and, more importantly, cancer. Rapid weight loss can also cause wrinkles by reducing the volume of fat cells that cushion the face. This not only makes a person look gaunt, but can cause the skin to sag.

Symptoms of Wrinkles

1. Deeplyformed lines.

2. Skin that is wrinkled may also have a tough, leathery appearance if the person has had a lot of exposure to the sun.

3. Fine, crinkling crosshatch marks.

Treatment of Wrinkles

There are numerous over-the-counter treatment options for wrinkles, including various creams and lotions. Prescription treatments, including the retinoid cream renova, are also an option.Removing skin layers to reduce wrinkles or irregular depressions is an effective way to regain smoother, more youthful looking skin. Dermabrasion (scraping layers away) and chemical peels (dissolving skin away) are two of the traditional methods used in skin resurfacing.

Laser skin resurfacing with an ablative laser (such as an erbium or carbon dioxide laser) is another technique that, like dermabrasion and deeper chemical peels, may require some downtime during the healing process. Other treatment options include Dermabrasion, a procedure that sands away the top layers of skin. Injection of substances such as fat or collagen, which is a gelatin-like substance, under the skin. It is one of the traditional methods used in skin resurfacing. Other lasers, known as non-ablative lasers, may also be beneficial in treating wrinkles. These lasers work by heating the dermis and stimulating collagen growth. This process, which leaves the outer layers of skin intact, has no downtime associated with it. Botulinum toxin- this is used for wrinkles between the eyebrows and around the eyes. The toxin is injected into the muscle that caused the wrinkle. It paralyzes the muscle, so that the wrinkles gradually disappear when the muscle isn’t used.

Winter Park Laser offers non-ablative lasers for wrinkles, chemical peels, and injectables such as botox. www.winterparklaser.com

Botox Treats More than wrinkles

Botox Treats More Than Wrinkles
Everyone knows about Botox, the wrinkle-reducer that’s injected into the face to retain a youthful look. It turns out that the procedure now has a number of new uses. Botox can also reduce excessive sweating and relax facial muscles.

We’ve all seen models with flawless, porcelain skin. Forgetting that much of this perfection is due to hours of makeup and airbrushing, their skin probably does start out smoother than normal people.

The rest of us, with real-world skin, are left envious.

“I have open pores and very greasy skin around this area, next to the nose,” Botox patient Guadalupe Pensado said.

Those skin problems have bothered Pensado for a long time, but there wasn’t all that much she could do about it.

But now, she’s seeing facial plastic surgeon Dr. Kamran Jafri, who’s developed a new way to use Botox.

“Right along the cheek area here on the right side, we have some moderate pores there, and even as I’m working with the Q-tip I see a fair amount of oil production as well,” Dr. Jafri said.

A close skin exam confirms the problem, and the solution is intra-dermal Botox injections, which are different from the anti-wrinkle variety.

“It doesn’t go below the skin, it doesn’t go in the muscles below it,” Dr. Jafri said. “The injection is only in the skin, to affect the things that we’re seeing on the skin.

Dr. Jafri injects a more dilute Botox solution every quarter inch or so in the problem areas, and the treatment works by doing the same thing that deeper wrinkle injections do, only in the skin.

“Our skin contains these tiny little muscles, and these muscles are what give us goose bumps – they keep our pores open,” Dr. Jafri said. “By weakening those muscles, much like weakening the muscles that cause wrinkles, you actually cause the skin to tighten.

“You decrease oil production, and you help the pores shrink up a little bit,” Jafri said.

The treatment shrinks pores, and patients report reduced oiliness. In some cases, even the discoloration of skin that comes with acne is reduced as well.

Minutes after her treatment, Pensado can see a difference.

“I love it, look at my nose,” she said. “Of course I can tell.”

NO More Excessive Sweating with 1 treatment!

Winter Park Laser & Anti-Aging Center now offers Botox for Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating mainly in the underarms). BOTOX® is FDA approved for excessive underarm sweating. BOTOX® neurotoxin treatment helps control this condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands don't receive chemical signals, the excessive sweating stops. This treatment is excellent for those that struggle with stains on their clothing from sweating, or are just tired of having the excess sweat. This treatment can last up to 8 months on average, and is a quick and painless procedure that can greatly improve your quality of life. All botox is administered by our nurse. Winter Park Laser is medically supervised by Jan V. Karlin M.D. For more inf ormation go to www.winterparklaser.com, call (407) 601-1185 for a free consultation. There are so many injectables now, which one is natural and lasts the longest?

While Botox is the most commonly referenced dermal filler for lines and wrinkles on your forehead and other areas, there are many new dermal fillers which are more natural and last longer since Botox typically only lasts up to 4 months. One of these dermal fillers is Restylane. Restylane (hyluronic acid) is an FDA approved form of human collagen used to fill fine lines and wrinkles on the face giving a more plump, younger look, usually around the nose and mouth but also great for crow's feet or forehead. The results usually last up to 6 months, twice as long as botox! Make sure there is a doctor (MD)administering all injections. For example, at Winter Park Laser our Medical Director Jan V. Karlin M.D. is the only one administering injections. For more information go to www.winterparklaser.com
